Default Are Gas Additives Worth It

As we all know. gas prices are getting ridiculous. This means we all want to improve our gas mileage. So I went on the internet to see, if there was any great products out there that I hadn't heard about. What I found were a bunch of scams.

I thought the "EPA Tested and Registered" meant they had tested the claims and found them true. It doesn't, it only means the EPA has tested the product and the product does not increase the pollution generated by the gas.

Yeah, most fuel additives are a waste of money. They can even damage certain parts of the fuel system. If anything, I might pour a cup of isopropryl alcohol in the tank before I fill it up.

I know someone who uses car fuel additives. There's a rhythm to it. You must bring the fuel level down to almost empty, then refill it to full tank. Then you pour the additive. He says his mileage has increased, but admits the rhythm can be an inconvenience.

I think it's worth it. Have you tried using it? There's some inconvenience. But anything that saves you money or extends your mileage is always a welcome thing, right?

I do not believe in gas additives at all. I think all they are are gimmicks designed to take money out of our pockets. I refuse to buy any of these products.

Hi Gomera, your position is understandable. I know others who won't believe in additives either, me included, hahaha. But it was the record made by a friend that convinced me. But in the same breath, my friend said it was inconvenient.
