Honestly, I don't know what the maximum speed is of my vehicle. I would never even try to go that fast! I'm a mom and I'm not looking to hurt myself or anyone else for that matter. Driving a race car sounds like fun to me but I know I would never actually do it.
I think the best way to test out your car's maximum speed is on a racing track, to see what it actually feels like. I've never tried, at least not yet.
I tried once, when I was a fairly new driver, out on a back road that was long and straight (and I knew it had very little traffic). It was a Pinto, standard-shift, and I got it up to a little over 80mph!
It's says 115Mph in the speedometer but have never really drove that fast otherwise the patrol car wouldn't catch up The maximum speed we drove was 80mph which is the maximum allowed really. Well, it felt cool, just like that.
