Default Performance Tires

Is it necessarily true that the more you spend on tires, the longer they'll last, or are there expensive tires that perhaps enhance performance but actually wear out just as fast if not faster? I've always just gone for the cheapest tires I could find, personally.

I have heard this both as a myth and truth but neither were validated by anyone with the paperwork to back it up. I am honestly not sure, I do not buy myself any brand I am not aware of but I do try to look for deals when I can.

The science that goes into making tires is quite impressive actually. From the tread design, to how much rubber they put into the tire and where and for what purpose. I think that in this case, you actually do get what you pay for.
