So many performance parts and modifications out there are geared towards racing and aren't actually street legal. Would you ever consider putting something not street legal in a car that you have no intention of racing, just to have the added performance?

I doubt it. If there is no need for it say for side racing or even in the pro's then its just money wasted. At least to me it is, its like all talk and no action, if its not legal where is the action at?

I do not think I would either. I think what makes it more risky is that one mod might be legal in your state but once you cross state lines it is no longer legal. I would not risk that.

I like performance parts, personally. I've even met cops who have pulled friends over, asked to look under the hood, and complimented on the very parts they should be giving a ticket for! I think they send an impression of being someone who only wants the best - so if I work hard to pay for them, why not? I'm not racing.
