Default Is There Any Point In A Dual Exhaust

My wife drives a PT Cruiser and she's going to need a new exhaust system soon. When I drive her car, the lack of pick-up drives me crazy. Do you think a dual exhaust would make enough of a difference, performance-wise to justify the added cost?

Personally, I don't. Most dual exhaust systems are set up for larger horsepower engines, like trucks and sporty cars (think Camero). The lack of horsepower in a PT Cruiser (and other four cylinder cars) would do a dual exhaust no justice.

If it were me, I'd think about adding a turbo charger. That should up the horsepower while still keeping the gas mileage respectable.
