Default Car Problems!

Gah, I'm getting fed up of this!

Yesterday I took a long journey. As I was nearing home, I heard a noise from the car. It was coming from underneath the car-the engine sounded fine. It was highish pitched, loud, and sounded like it was maybe from the brakes.

The car drove fine, responded well and the brakes worked as I would expect them to. I parked, came out ten minutes later, could see nothing amiss underneath. Took it around the block-no sound, it was fine.

I WILL take it into a garage. But I can't afford it today, and won't be able to for about a week. So, ideas? Anything I can look for?

Find an alternative way to get around until you can get it looked at and fixed. Don't drive it far or at all unless you absolutely have to. Find a carpool buddy.
