You know the cigarette lighter ports you can use to charge your phone? I used it for an adapter to turn it in to a plug, like you see in a wall. I was driving and it started to smoke. Now the charger doesn't work. Can that be fixed?
You have probably burned it out. I would say you need to get another charger and get rid of that adapter. It probably had a short in it and caused all of the trouble but I wouldn't use that port again unless it was for something cheap.
I had the same thing happen! I used an adapter to turn it into a home style plug and whoosh all 3 of my charging ports went kaput! I had blown 2 fuses and figured they were old. I have had my truck for 5 years and never changed any of them. I replaced the fuses and the same thing happened again! I still haven't figured it out as the adapter works fine in my minivan!
I don't use it anymore. It actually happened while I was driving down the road and the car started to fill with smoke. Was enough to scare me out of using it ever again.
