Default Child lock problem

For some reason one of my back doors won't open from the inside. I did not do anything to it but I'm thinking that somehow the child lock got put on. I don't see a button anywhere to turn it off. Anyone know?

If you open the door look on the side (where it latches) there should be a spot marked with the child lock sticker where you put the lock up or down.

It does sound like a child lock issue. You may want to read in your car's manual how to operate the child lock. It should tell you how to fix it, and you will want to know anyway, just in case it should happen again.

We had this issue when we first got the new car too, do not let it fool you - there really is a way to turn it off. Funny for us when it happened my husband was stuck in the car and I sat there for a minute debating to let him out or not.

Funny vroom! I pulled out the book last night and I still can't get it off. There is a spot on the door put there is no latch! It's irritating. I'm going to have my dad look at it tomorrow.

Maybe it is not a child lock issue after all. It could be that you have an inside problem with the mechanism. I hope not! You never know what that repair might cost.

It sounds like maybe the child lock mechanism somehow broke in the on position. I hope you can get it fixed without too much trouble.

Did the book show how to replace the latch if it malfunctioned? That is what it sounds like to me, too, like the latch broke off in the on position.

If your car is under warranty, let the dealership take care of it. That way they can make sure it's not a problem with the mechanism and if it, well it's not your dime.
