Default Chip in Windshield

I know there is a way to fill in the chip without replacing the window. What I don't know is if I have to contact a glass company to do this or can I buy a kit and do it myself?

There are a few good reviews on this one. http://www.amazon.com/Stoner-95141-I.../dp/B001T9CG94

I've never done them though so I'm not sure how easy and well it will work.

I had a glass company fill a hole for me last year. I did not want to try it myself, I did not want to spend the money and then not do it right. It worked well, for the record- it did not chip or run anymore on the window. Good luck if you do it on your own!

It looks like doing it yourself is just a temporary fix. I can live with that until Summer gets here. I don't really have the money right now to replace the whole windshield for a tiny chip.

I'll be honest with you. The professional repairs generally don't cost much, and are so worth it. I'd be afraid that a kit wouldn't do it well enough.
