Default Don't Run out of Fuel

Further to not letting your car sit with only a little fuel-don't ever let it run out. My car ran great. Fuel light comes on-I limp to a garage. Filled her up-now there is intermittent misfiring when the engine is under load. She's ok when not so much fuel is being forced through-I fear I have fouled the fuel pump

You can mess with the fuel pump when you run it low all the time too. That is what happened to my car (previous car). It was awful and a mess to fix too (had to take out gas tank).
