Exhaust smells like gas
Hopefully it's nothing too serious, but when I start my car after letting it sitting overnight I get a noticeable gas smell coming out of the exhaust. It doesn't smell foul or anything, just like regular gas fumes. I've heard this may be because of worn out spark plugs or fuel injectors distributing too much fuel (maybe both?) or even the catalytic converter going bad. It does go away after just a few minutes of driving and it's no longer noticeable--could this be because the spark plugs have warmed up and are producing a better charge? Would this indicate that they need to be changed (not sure when they were last changed)? If anyone has any other idea's I'd love to hear them, but the fuel injector and catalytic converter theories seem to be ruled out, seeing as how it goes away eventually.
Other than the gas smell, the car runs fine. It starts on the first crank and besides occasionally shuttering through the 1st to 2nd gear transition, it's not acting funny at all. I'm just concerned about the gas fumes possibly igniting post-cylinder, as cool as it might look.
