Default Ice and snow build up

I clean my car off all the time in the winter but I have this ice and snow build-up in front of both of my front tires. I have tried to knock it off with my foot and a shovel (almost broke my foot) How can I get it off from there?

Can you somehow spray warm water at it? Or squirt it with deicer? Alternatively is there any way of getting salt on it-only I managed to defrost my entire freezer with that!

I was thinking of going to the car wash. I bet if I sprayed water at that high pressure the build up will come off. Last time I went to a car wash in the winter I ended up soaked though!

Jess I hear ya! I was spraying the inside of my tire and the water hit something and soaked me. It was so cold out and I was soaked! Be real careful when you go to the car wash tonight.

If it isn't impairing function, I would probably opt to just leave it. It might keep the stuff from getting ON your tires, acting as more of a protection than a problem!

If it is a problem, do you have a garage into which you could pull it to warm it up and melt it off there?
