Default Liner Sags

I have a problem with a sagging liner and I need to know if there is a simple way to tack up the material so it isn't acting like a hat when I drive.

Here's a link to step-by-step directions to fix it so it looks nice.

Wish I had done it this way, instead of the way I did it, which was to use a syringe-type thing to shoot glue up there then push the fabric back into place. It got the liner off my head, but looked awful.

Thanks Tabby. I'm going to check that out more closely and see if it's something I can do. I actually like your syringe type thingy idea. It sounds simpler. Was that something you bought, or just thought to do?

If the material is vinyl, the DYI glue approach is probably OK. If it's fabric, the glue will seep through and it will be fairly ugly. An upholster or detailer could help you out.

I had just weaned a litter of bottle-fed kittens, so I was really really used to using this syringe. It didn't have a needle on the end, but a nipple. I cut the end so it had a decent sized hole, filled the syringe with glue, cut a small hole in the liner fabric, squeezed it up in there, then used my fingers to mush it around.

As I said, it looked awful, and I don't think I would do it that way again. If I were a great entrepreneur, I would have used that idea to invent a liner-replacing-glue-squirting device and sold it through my own late night infomercial. Oh well, you may take on that project with my blessing.
