Default New battery

If your battery keeps dieing (because you forget to turn the lights off) after 10 minutes of being left on without the car on, would you say it's time to get a new one? The light on the battery is still green so my hubby says it's fine, but I'm sick of someone needing to jump it!

Has it been fully charged since then? I would think if you haven't recharged it fully, that would be the next step. Also, quit leaving your lights on without the car on. ;-)

I am not too sure on this. How often are you leaving your lights on? My car dings so loudly that I am reminded to turn off the lights. Not shutting door all the way is my problem. Thankfully, the battery has never died due to this.

If it were me and I could afford a new battery, I would get one. I have a habit of replacing things too often, maybe. I've had batteries that were still okay but I've replaced them anyway because the battery died on me after 15 minutes of listening to the radio in the car a couple times.

The stupid buzzer thing on the door quit working months ago- so it does not ding anymore when I leave the lights on. That is my problem!

Well in the last 3 months I've left them on 4 times.

I would suggest going ahead and getting a new battery if you have left the lights on that frequently. That is an awful lot of forgetting. I think you should make a checklist for exiting the car.

I would definitely get a new battery and I would probably invest in getting the buzzer fixed so you quit leaving the lights on. I am lucky because my lights turn off automatically.
