Default Spares or Repair

Have you ever bought a car for spares or repair? What did you do with the shell or remains of the car after you had taken off it all of the parts that you needed to?

I once bought an old car to fix up. It was long before I was able to drive-it was just a bit of a project. I gave up when it was time to get a drivable car and sold it on-but I'd improved it a lot in the meantime.

I haven't, but it seems to me your best bet would be to sell it for scrap. Alternately, you could haul it to the dump and just go from there.

I haven't, but I have thought about it. It does make sense, especially on an older car. Why go out and buy one part that could cost $100 or more when you can buy a whole parts car for one or two hundred? My only problem would be, where would I store the parts car? I don't want an old shell of a car sticking out like a sore thumb in my yard.

I wouldn't know what to do with it, however, my brother does it. I would consider buying one for my brother to fix my car. A few hundreds is a lot better than a few thousands.
