Default Sputtering

My old van is now starting to sputter and it sounds like it wants to quit but it hasn't yet. I've looked and really can't see anything obvious. Could I have burnt out a spark plug. Would this make it miss and sputter?

Also consider the fuel injectors, and the car computer that regulates how much fuel, or fuel filter. And ugh....if it gets worse until it quits it could be the fuel pump. Not a fun repair.
