Default You'll Never Guess

You'll never guess what the shop found in my tire the other day. I have been having a slow leak from my driver's side rear tire for about a week. I could fill it up and it would be fine for a day or so, then I'd have to fill it up again. I finally decided to take it in to the tire shop where I buy my tires. They took it off and looked at it and found a flat point screw that had worn the head off! It had stuck right in there like someone put it in there on purpose. Just pretty as you please. They patched it and it's fine now. Strange how you pick up odd stuff like this.

Default yeah

I always worry about things like that. I have heard how sometimes small creatures can get stuck in the break pads. I think I would be quite upset to find that!

I've ran over nails, glass, push pins, etc. It's a pain to watch out for every little thing when you are driving. I'm glad they were able to fix it instead of buying a new tire!

Me too Mustang. I was really surprised at how it held up as long as it did. It was a huge diameter screw so I could have been stranded out on the side of the interstate or have blown a tire while going 70. Very lucky.

Actually the same thing happened to me recently. The tire place patched it and it worked great for about 2 months then the patch went while I was doing 80 down the expressway. If the screw was really that big I would strongly suggest going out and buying a new tire anyway. I ended up having to.

It wouldn't have been so bad but the patch went in the middle of the night when everything was closed and I was about 40 miles from home.
