Default Dash cleaner

I tried this dash cleaner stuff on my car, and it left the dashboard *shiny*. It looked SO nice! Well, until I was driving east in the morning. Then the glare was awful!! I had to use Fantastik to get the shine off. Ugh!

It was probably leather and vinyl protectant, like Armor-All. That will made a dashboard shiny, but it also protects it from the sun and heat. They have low shine varieties also. I like mine shiny!

I like mine shiny too. I think it looks great and usually smells pretty good. I would also suggest looking for a low shine product, because it is important in protecting your dash.

Oh, thank you, I will look for a low shine version. I know it needs to be protected, but I just can't do that glaring shine, you know!

Right! And I'm sure you've seen cars with brittle and cracked dashes, like I have. Those are the ones who didn't use a protectant. That's what happens when you don't use one, your dashboard gets all brittle and starts cracking.

I just use a generic household cleaner on my dashboard, and make sure to wipe it down with a clean rag a few times afterwards.

Glare is not something I will tolerate when I'm driving. I drive for a living now, and I am VERY set in my ways. Hehehe.

I love a clean, shiny dashboard. I don't think I've ever noticed the glare though. That would be really distracting. Hope you can find something that works for you!
