Default Detail Parts for Fun?

Do you ever buy new parts for your car purely for the look, rather than actually serving a function? I just recently bought new taillight covers that I feel give my ride a cooler look. They weren't that expensive on eBay, so I didn't mind a little pocket change in exchange for the visual pleasure.

I am a sucker for body kits. I mean, some serve a function, but things like fins or whatever, are really fun. They just make you look cool

I've done it, but that was when I was younger and had my parent's money lol. Now, I don't waste money on such things.

I bought a new grill, running boards, a bull bar, and color matching door handles for my Tundra. The grill is purely looks along with the door handles. I really have not had a need for the bull bar, but the wife uses the running boards all the time.

I've been looking at new wheels for my car. I don't want something all mega-chromed out that's going to look too ridiculous, as I'll be graduating from school soon and will still want to use my car for work, but I do want something nicer than the boring stock wheels.

I have never made any changes. My car costs enough just to keep up with the oil changes and gas. I guess if I did change a few things here and there, it would somewhat "personalize" it, so I might want to look at a few small things...
