Default Eggs!

I am so mad! I was going to pick up my daughter from hanging with her friends tonight (Halloween) and some crazy kid threw an egg at my car. It hit! Smack! I wiped it off but I don't want it to ruin the paint. Will it? What should I wash it with now?

Plain soap and water should be sufficient. The really dangerous substances are shaving cream and soda pop. Both of those will eat paint off the car. I think eggs just make a mess.

I don't think eggs will really hurt the paint either. I would hurry and wash it off though because the longer you wait the harder it will be to remove. I would have chased down the little punk that did it and made him clean it.

I think that is so wrong... and a horrible waste of eggs. (I love eggs!) One time me and my friends put plastic wrap around a friend's car. It took a whole box and it was really hilarious!

Thankfully we got over a foot of snow this weekend, and with so many people without power, it was unusually quiet the night before Halloween (I work for a Police Department). I have not seen any evidence of any mischief in my travels yesterday and today. Sorry that happened to you!

Just curious---I assume that you wrapped the car so that the doors would not open, right? Did you wrap it up over the roof and under the car, or horizontally around the whole body? (That IS pretty funny!)

If you do not catch it in time yes an egg will hurt a car, it has something to do with the paints used for cars, colors and the clear coats. I am guessing you took care of it pretty quick though so you should be okay.

I went right home and washed it off but I wanted to be sure there was not something more I needed to do.

The story about the plastic wrap is hysterical!
