Default Re-paint

An uncle of mine wants to repaint an older Mustang that he got for a beater car, fixer upper for his grandson but wants to paint it himself. I am not too sure he can do it and would hate to see him have to repaint it and spend double the money. Whats a good job go for?

I've seen paint jobs advertised for $300, but it's probably not a good paint job. If the car is meant as a fixer-upper, and he just wants it to look a little nice for now, a cheap paint job's fine. I've even seen a few people use a paint roller to paint a car. However, if he's going to restore it to like new, then I would get a professional job.

I am thinking he is going for the "not a million dollar job, but at least a few bucks". Right now its an older blue, I think, late 80's model if I am not mistaken. I doubt he wants to hit up a pro though. I know paint prices for the home since we are doing that, but auto stuff no ways.
