Default Stuck with a dull finish?

If the paint on your vehicle is in bad shape and it is dull looking, what are some things that can be done to rehab the paint finish? Are you stuck with a dull finish?

Waxing your vehicle should bring back some of the shine (and protect the remaining finish). Of course, repainting would perk it up, but that can definitely be pricey.

Wax alone won't do it if it's bad. First you need to wash it. Use a clay bar to get rid of the stuck on bugs and other crud. Only once you have a really good paint surface, you polish the car. THEN you wax it.
