Default Tree Sap

Where I park I can't avoid the stuff. I have no choice as to where to park either, but it's making me wash my car too often! How can I protect it better-is it worth using a cover?

To avoid washing it so much a cover would help, but that cover is also going to get really gross. I'm not sure of many other options though, besides cutting the tree down.

You may have to pick which is the best of 2 evils. A gross cover with everything stuck to it, or a sticky car. I'd probably go with the cover, but get one cheap enough to throw away every so often.

I think it's always worth using a cover. Anything that hurts you paint is going to get worse over time and eventually lead to your car rusting, which is no fun... trust me on this one!

Yeah, the only practical solution I can think of is to buy a cover to use on it to protect it. I think it would be well worth it.

Covers work really well. The only time they don't is in the winter in freezing conditions, but at that time of year sap isn't an issue!

Why aren't they good in the winter? Is it anything to do with the fact that the cover will get wet and freeze to the paint of the car (risking damage that way)?
