I like to design things on my computer, and I think I'm pretty good at it. I know that there's a sign shop nearby that will put cool graphics on a car using a program like the one I use and "printing" vinyl peel-off stickers according to the design (the printer cuts). Any idea if I could effectively do this kind of thing myself for this car? Where would I get the vinyl? How should I cut it?

Even if you got the vinyl, I think you'd need their cutting machine. I can't imagine you'd get a great result with scissors, unless you had one of those drafting straight-edge cutters and stuck to straight-edged designs.
