Default Dare I....

OK, it's a BlueBird school bus, with a Chevy big block: as big as you can go and still have a gas engine.

It's needed a sh*tload of warranty work since purchased (new), a leak in the roof resulted in the floor boards having to be replaced, among other things.

Ever since the warranty work, the speakers in the ceiling don't work properly: one of the four does, and that's it.

Two of the four I can access, and I'm wondering if it's worth my effort to take off the speaker covers (screwed in place) and check out the wiring to see if there's a loose connection I can address?

Understand that it's NOT my vehicle.

If it's not yours, leave it be: no use risking fouling things worse, and it would likely void any warranty.

It kind of sounds like this thing has started out with some sort of a hex on it from the git go. I'm not sure you want to get sucked into this. If it was yours, then I'd say take it on.

It's just an annoyance: if the children want to hear music (and they often do), it sucks having only one working speaker on board.

On the other hand, it's not mandatory operating equipment, either, so the likelihood of the matter being addressed by the owners is slim to none.

It sounds like a no brainer. Just let it be. If the owner doesn't want to put the effort, why should you. Just remember that a portable DVD player or an MP3 are cheaper.
