Default How to mount?

I want to get a portable DVD player for my car but I am unsure how or where to mount it. I want it for the kids to keep them busy in the backseat. Is there a special type of player or a special mount I could get?

Make sure you buy a player that is meant for a car, as they usually come with mounts - the screen and actual DVD reader can be put in separate places so you're not strapping a mini-laptop to the back of your seat, lol. A friend of mine cut out the back of his headrests and had an upholstery specialist place his screens in there.

Spinner, where would I have to go to get one like that? I haven't seen one where the screen was separate before. Do I have to go to a specialty store?

You can buy headrests with built in dvd players. You can also get dvd players that fit over the top of the seat so you are not replacing anything. Then they also make players that will install on the top of the roof (inside the car of course). If you really want to get fancy, you can buy a deck that plays dvd's, then buy headrests that have screens and the wires built into them.

Your choices will be depending on how comfortable you feel doing the work, and how much you want to spend.
