We have one that is factory installed but we hardly ever use it. The only time I can remember using it was when the grandkids were on a trip with us. But we have cordless headphones they have to listen to the video through. It doesn't bother the driver at all.
The ones behind the driver are great if you ever drive kids around, or even if you take long road trips; but then again of course NOBODY wants to be the driver who can't see what everyone is watching on a long trip.
I have them in my vehicles. Not really distracting. But in some sense you need discipline. It is usually the same video for the child on long trips. I've listened to Marry Poppins so much I do not think I would want to watch it if I could.
