    AC or mileage?

I drive on the interstate mostly, so it actually uses more gas driving with the windows down, because of all the drag. I'm like your wife though, I'm going to be comfortable regardless if it costs me an extra dollar per fill-up. Besides, I don't like the wind blowing everything around.

    Who drives a stick?

Greased, someone can't "teach" you how to drive a stick. It's one of those things where you just have to take the car out by yourself and teach yourself to drive it. When I was young, both my mom and dad tried to teach me how to drive it, and I thought I'd never learn how. But dad gave me the...

    Who drives a stick?

I've been driving a stick on my old '94 Honda for the past ten years or so. I'd rather drive a stick, because I'd rather the gears change when I want them to change rather than when a computer tells them to change. But I'm getting old and my knees are starting to hurt, and I can tell a...

    Popularity of motorcycles

Seems like the nicer the weather is, the more bikes you see. It's been very warm, almost hot where I live, and probably 30% of the traffic on the main highway is motorcycles. I would love to have one, but at the current time, I just don't have the money.

Higher taxes because of electric cars

Yes, but electricity comes from burning coal. Isn't coal a limited resource? I mean, once it's mined from underground, it doesn't grow back so that you can mine it again. But I do agree that electricity is cheaper than gasoline, and should be.

    Techron

I think a company, whether it's a gas company, a computer company or whatever, will say anything it wants in order to get you to buy their product. I think all gas is the same, most have the same additives and detergents and that you should buy specifically on whoever's got the lowest price.

    Free Wi-Fi

Does anyone who owns a laptop take advantage of the free wi-fi in places like McDonalds, Starbucks and others? I don't have internet at home, simply because I live right next door to a McDonalds, and I just tap into their free wi-fi. Of course, there are times when I go to McD's to eat, and I...

    Stp

Like FB, I use a fuel cleaner only once or twice per year. Repeated use of a fuel cleaner can dissolve the seals in the fuel system and around the injectors, so that's why I don't use them on a regular basis. If you're having rough idling, and one can of fuel cleaner doesn't help, ten cans...

    How old is your car?

I have a car that I bought brand new. It's a 1994 Honda Accord with almost 300,000 miles on it. It still runs good and looks decent, so I see no reason to replace it. I've owned this car a lot longer than I've owned any other car in my life.

Detailing - pay someone or do it yourself?

Yeah, this is really a do-it-yourself type of job. Once per month, a couple hours, just the car and you. You really learn a lot about your car by spending a couple hours going over it. And it's nice when you're done to sit back and say, "Man, that car looks good!"

    Bumper stickers: yay or nay?

I think one or two small stickers on the bumper or on the rear glass are okay, but you see people who have them all over the back and sides of the car. I have an orange T on my back window and a round Pink Floyd sticker on my bumper, and that's it.

    yearly checkup

I've never heard of a yearly "checkup" for a car. Matter of fact, I never heard of a monthly one either. I just always thought mileage was the most important factor in everything (oil changes, air filter changes, tire rotations, almost everything). I'll just keep on doing what I been doing.

    Gas Sites

I do driveaways on the side, so it's always important for me to know where the cheapest gas is. When I stop somewhere for gas (or food), I'm always busy looking for the next cheapest gas on down the road.

    Paint Job

I was looking at the ol' Honda this morning and have been noticing for quite a while that her paint's starting to fade (she's 18 years old). She still runs quite well, never left me stranded and if I tried to sell her, I doubt I'd get what I want for her. So I'm thinking a new paint job...

    Interview

I'm pretty sure they do, and the reason is more than likely that they are afraid your car would break down a lot and you would either be late or absent from work a lot. I would probably park on the next street over if it were me.
