Car accidents cost 100 Billion annually!

That's right, you'd think after paying all those years, you'd have enough insurance money stashed away in some escrow account to settle the accident without increasing your premium.

Car in Ohio slams into overpass, disintegrates

I know the law enforcement people also wish they had handled the earlier case a little better. Who lets an intoxicated person continue to drive?

    Car paint sun bleached?

I have noticed, here in the south, that many cars seem to be sun bleached. Now, it's my car. The top of the car and the hood are definitely lighter in color than the rest of the car. How do I stop this?

    New age mechanics

I my father's day, mechanics were men (or women) who had a feel and the touch for cars and a love for the sound of a good engine. They learned on the job and were experts in the types of cars they worked on. They told you if they couldn't figure it out and maybe sent you to someone else who...

    Cruise control scare

Ever since they started recalling cars for malfunctions, I started cutting back on how much driving I let my cars do. Cruise control I never really used, and now I know why. That's scary. Glad it turned out okay.

    How to repair fiberglass bodyparts

I'm old fashioned. Cars are supposed to be made of metal. Good and strong and safe. Riding around in fiberglass is like riding around in Barbie's car.

    So frustrated and annoyed!

That's too bad. Hope no one got hurt. What kind of car do you drive? Sometimes we drive absentmindedly. Sometimes when you cruise, you're so relaxed your brain also cruises.

    Car so messy

I have a routine. Any of my grown sons uses my car, I call them next day with a kitchen garbage bag and sit and watch. It's amazing how many cans of soda, power drink, debbie wrappers and fast food wrappers they can collect in a couple of hours. The first time they took it out, I couldn't get...

    Tampering with brakes

I guess because I have boys, I don't consider taking my Jeep in for general maintenance, and I count breaks as general maintenance; from the pads to the bearings.

1989 Jeep Cherokee wouldn't turn off

I heard a little rattling under the car just beneath my feet. As I drove the rattling got louder and when I went to cut the car off, it wouldn't cut off. Any ideas?

    Registration

I had to pay $75 for the Jeep. Down here in the south they say the money goes to help finance the schools. And you can't get the high mileage discount until the odometer reaches 200,00 miles.

    Funding your next purchase

I usually buy used, mostly Jeeps. When I did buy it was with a car loan from the credit union. That was years ago. With today's economy, I'd try all options before doing that.

    Frequent tire and brake repairs

My son in law drives my daughter's van and during the course of a year has had to replace the drivers side front tire 6 times and the break pads 4 times. Just recently he had to replace the bearings, which were fused. He's not the best driver, but I'm thinking there must be something...

    Painting

This sounds like an experiment that could go wrong. If you don't have the equipment or the facilities (dust and dirt proof) why not shop around for a better price. Mayko for instance.

    How to repair fiberglass bodyparts

I bought my Jeep second hand and it has broken places, instead of dents. I'm told its fiberglass but I want to repair it with metal. On the fender corners there are splits/tears, also over the tires. Can I change it out and if not, how do I fix the splits/tears?
