Do those dent puller things really do the job? I have never tried one because I figured they were gadgets that don't work that somebody makes money on.
It's more messy and time consuming than what I want to deal with. I have to make a special trip to the county landfill to dispose of the used oil too. I'm glad to pay someone.
The way I understand it is that they are not selling more cars, but they have reorganized and cleaned up their business practices so much that they are making a much better profit on each car sold than they used to. Cool, huh?
The bad news is that GM stock is at $26.31, down from about $38 the last time I was following it. The good news is $26.31 is a screaming deal for a company that is making very good profits these days.

I was taught to check them regularly. The principle behind doing so is to be continually abreast of where your vehicle is relative to traffic around you, which is always changing.
I kind of depends on how much you drive. If you only put 2500 miles on your vehicle, it would be less than if you put 15,000 miles on per year. I do it spring and fall.
We have some dealers in our area that will go looking for whatever a buyer wants. They work with wholesalers and auction people, etc. Maybe a dealer could locate something.
I'm glad you reminded me of this! I like to keep tabs on what CR says about cars. I have referred to back issues more than once when I was in the market for a car.
A friend of mine put one in his diesel truck a couple of years ago. He says it noticeably improved his gas mileage and that it didn't cost him an arm and a leg.
