    Brake problems

Wow, that's scary. I never buy the cheapest brand brake pads for this exact reason. In this case I would think it has more to do with installation, did you do them yourself?

    Car wash

I have black car so it needs cleaning very often... I however do not clean it often. I do park it in a garage over night so it doesn't get too filthy!

    'Check Engine' Light

The first time my 'check engine' light came on I was freaked out. I brought it into the service centre and they said it might've been something as small as an air bubble, but the system picks it up. This has happened several times so now when it comes on I just ignore it until the next service...

    Loud cars!

I must admit, I do like a nice sounding exhaust, but only if the engine is perfect as well. There is nothing worse than a loud exhaust that is skipping at idle, or the timing is off.

The strangest problem I've ever had.

I think you're starter might be hooked up incorrectly. I'm not familiar with that vehicle but there may be a wire loose or touching something it shouldn't be. Is the starter second hand?

    2 in one week

I've only ever had two and I got them a week apart. One I got on the way to get awesomw Thai food and then a week later, on the way back from getting awesome thai food. It's delicious food but not worth $200!

Dogs In The Back Of Trucks

Where I live the law says you must secure the dog on a rope less than 1 metre long to the front/centre of the tray, but I know someone whose staffy jumped out at the lights cos he saw another dog. Luckily the dog didn't choke to death but if the truck was a few inches higher....

    Hydrogen Powered Engines

I've been pretty interested in hydrogen powered engines for the last few years and I noticed a lot more hydrogen stations coming up around the world, particularly in the US and Japan. I like the idea of them as they produce 0% emissions and it is the most abundant element in the Earth's...

Do You Check Your Oil and Coolant Levels?

I know I get lazy and I'll generally only check my levels when one of the 'check' lights comes on and with modern cars and regular servicing there isn't really a reason you need to check and top up your oil and coolant etc, but do you?

Do You Bother With an Alarm

In Australia a car cannot be registered without an immobilizer system and with the technology of modern cars I feel an alarm is unnecessary. I mean, how many times do you hear a car alarm go off and think- someone must've bumped into it or a noisy truck driving past must've set it off...

Small plane crashed into a Volvo

HAHA!! It's true, it's true! There you have it folks, Volvo is the safest car manufacturer. What was the car doing up in the sky anyway?? Bloody Volvo drivers...

    Changing a windshield

Definately DO NOT attempt this yourself! If you stuff it up it wil be dangerous and expensive. The only people with the right tools to fit a windscreen are windscreen installers... That's why we have them!

Hanging objects on your rear view mirror

I'm pretty sure there was national outcry when they bought in that law... I loved my fuzzy dice. At least I can still have my bobbing head dog toy.

    The safest brand of cars

I've always heard things about Volvo being safest, but in Australia now all cars have to have a certain safety rating, it makes it easy to compare. I guess an SUV or 4WD is the best option for your safety, just not the other drivers...

    After Market Tail Lights

A recent hail storm left my car with a cracked tail light, so I went to buy a new one form Mazda for $400!! Pass, I will try eBay or a wreckers. Anyways, I saw on eBay a set of taillights with black backgound instead of silver, so they look really cool, cheap too. Are they legal? Will...
