    Helmet law repealed

What state are you in that repealed it? Most of the states around me have helmet laws except New Hampshire. I think they require helmets up to 16 years old but adults have the choice.

    Car color and speeding tickets

I have heard people say that but I think it's one of those urban myths. I've never had a ticket (knock on wood) and I've had a rainbow of vehicles through the years.

    Stp

Okay, I need someone who really knows what they're talking about to help me out here. I have two different mechanics that I use, depending on who has the time to take my vehicle. One told me to use STP fuel injection cleaner once a month and the other told me that it's bad to use STP all the...

    Popularity of motorcycles

Motorcycle use and purchase always goes up when the gas prices are up or the economy tanks. The savings on gas consumption is amazing but the purchase price and the insurance are also a lot cheaper.

    Jiffy Lube

upon ecroein I'm sorry, but if you actually feel guilty because you didn't listen to the JiffyLube guy, you need to worry about more than the guy selling you stuff. Seriously, why would you feel guilty over what some random stranger says?

    Tie rod arm?

A friend of mine was told the tie rod arm on the front passenger side is gone and needs replacing soon. They told her it would be safe to drive but take care of it soon. She asked me what would happen if she waits to long and I don't have a clue. What the heck is a tie rod arm?

    Bumper stickers: yay or nay?

No bumper stickers allowed on my vehicles! Not only do they end up looking crappy, they can hide corrosion and allow rot to set in unnoticed. I do have some magnetic bumper 'stickers', though. These are easy to get rid of when they fade.

Detailing - pay someone or do it yourself?

I normally do it myself because I'm picky beyond belief. To be honest, I actually enjoy spending a few hours doing this once a month or so. Everyone leaves me alone because they're afraid of getting drafted to help.:heh:

    Hole in pool

Man, I'd be doing my best to figure out what the heck is eating the holes and getting rid of whatever it is. It might be something that could be dangerous to any kids or something. Plus who knows what else it's gnawing into?

    Old Motorcycles

I don't have a motorcycle but my brother just picked up an old Indian for a freaking song. It was an estate sale and the kids just wanted to get rid of all the stuff so they could sell the property. Can't wait to help him restore that bad boy.

    Restoration resources

I would like to do more restoration work but there is no place around me to source parts for older vehicles. Can you recommend any good resources for sourcing classic and vintage parts?

    Steaming

Now that's an idea that I hadn't thought of. My wife has a hand steamer she uses and swears by but I never considered using it on the car. Bet it would make it a lot easier getting the gunk off the rims.

    Odd Car Colors

Not me. I get adventurous on occasion with different shades and combinations, but the basic colors I use are still what I consider "normal" car colors. I can't imagine driving a lime green or neon orange car down the road!

    Streaks in Windshield

Take a bucket of really hot water, add a cup of white vinegar and a squirt of mild dish soap. Use this mix to do your windows and mirrors as it cuts through the greasy film that builds up from road exhaust.
