How often do you stop on road trips?

It really all depends on how I feel. Sometimes I will go as far as possible, but others I will stop every hour or so. It also depends on if someone is riding with me. Good conversation is is a really good distraction when you're on the road.

    Bugs!

Same here. I always sit there, for who knows how long, scrubbing away with a soapy rag. Sometimes the bugs are just stuck on there so bad that it is very irritating

    PT Cruiser AC

Well, it's one thing right after the other. The AC in my wife's PT Cruiser went out today. After messing with it for a little while, I ended up running a bypass on the compressor relay and it's working now, but I don't know how healthy that is for the car. Anyone ever had this problem before?

    Scrapin' the Coast!

If you're not really into the classic Scrapin' the coast is another great show to go to. It's mostly modern vehicles that are souped up, custom, dropped, you name it, but they are all hot. This event is held on June 24-26th and it is worth the trip. http://www.scrapinthecoast.com/

    Cruisin' The Coast

The 15th Annual Cruisin' The Coast will be October 2-9, 2011. If your not familiar with this event, I would suggest checking it out. Classics, customs, mod, and rods, all in one place over on weekend. Cars and truck from all over the country are on display. It's a really great event...

    Fuel additives

I just buy the mid grade fuel. Wish I could afford the top notch stuff, but gas prices are just to high. Buyer's right though, the better fuel you buy th more mileage you will get.

    Do you speed?

I second that! I have gotten one or two tickets in my day for speeding, but they were when I was using my wifes car....no cruise control.... Using cruise too much can really mess you up when you don't have it.

    Off-roading?

I used to have an '89 Bronco that I used to take off roading at least once a week. It really is a great time. Sometimes I think about how nice it would be to still have that truck, but where I live now it wouldn't be very practical.

    Crack in the windshield?

A little trick for this is to just turn on your AC or heat and switch it to the defrost selection. Then you can just leave it running until the temp is about right. You can even use one of the little thermometer strips for fish tanks, they're only like $2 at Wal-Mart.

    Classics

I figured I would just make a thread where everyone can talk about classics. What you have, what you wan't, what you had, and so on. I've got a '65 T-Bird, in case you didn't notice my user name. It's in pretty rough shape, but I recently traded a '96 T-Bird with 250K miles on it that I bought...

    PT Cruiser Headlamps

What a mission. I don't know if anyone here has a PT Cruiser, but if you ever plan on changing out your headlamp fixtures, you're in for a real treat. Here is a quick breakdown: Remove tire wells Remove grill Remove "ENTIRE" Bumper Remove Headlights Replace all Whatever happened to...

    Collecting Cars

Well, I think it's a waste of money regardless of how much you make, but at the same time, if I had the money I'd probably have several classics. I don't know why that it is though...

    Classics?

Great to see I have some backup. I think that this would be a great section for those of us who have oldies and are looking for a place to show then off or get some answers to tough questions.

    Burnouts

I agree with everyone else. unless your are actually racing your car, burnouts are pointless. Why put you engine through it? The only logical reason for burning out is to gain better traction on the track

    Mark you oil filter!

If you tend to get your oil changed at a lube shop it is a good Idea to mark the oil filter on your car. I once read an article on how some shops will just wipe your filter to give it a "new" look, rather than actually changing it. It is a good idea to put a scratch (like an X) on your filter...
