    Tires - good and bad

It may just be a matter of you getting used to your new car and how it handles and how the brake system works. Maybe it's not a tire issue at all.

    Car sales up

Car companies are smart. They offer cash back, a delayed start to payments and very low interest payments to encourage shoppers to become buyers. Make the payments affordable and more people are going to want to buy.

    Cool bike mod

I think as the boomers age and want to keep riding, they may turn to these three wheelers because of the added stability and ease of handling.

    SUV's are making a comeback!

SUVs are like minivans, but with more flexibility. I think they are the ideal vehicle for families because they are nice and roomy, and with better safety ratings and the choice of 4 wheel drive, they can take you wherever you need to go.

    Tinted license plate covers

While I agree that they should be clear, I don't agree that they shouldn't be allowed. Many of us with personalized license plates use them to protect our plates from damage.

    Reliability of auctions

A friend who works at a dealership told me that they don't like to keep too many off-brands on their lot, so they would send these vehicles to auction. Also when they get a leased vehicle back, they often auction these as well, instead of keeping them to sell on the lot.

    Under Dash Lights

I drive a Ford F350 and before that I had a Ford F150. My gripe with these trucks is the poor under dash lighting. Trying to find a cup holder when you're on a dark road at night is by feel only. I finally installed a strip of lights to solve the problem but this was definitely a design flaw, as...

    Close Call Last Week

For those of us who drove before anti-lock brakes, a situation like this would probably be even more challenging because we'd be thinking to pump the brakes.

    2012 Detroit Auto Show

We try to get there every couple of years. There's nothing like seeing new cars up close in the motor city. I can't wait to get a look at the new Dodge Dart. I used to have one of these many years ago.

    Driving music

It depends on the time of day or night. If there's a lot of traffic, I prefer something calming, but if I'm scooting along the highway or need to stay awake, it's rock and roll all the way.

    Broken stud

I would definitely get that taken care of right away, regardless of the cost. It's very dangerous to drive around with a broken lugnut. I was driving a car once with that problem and the wheel came off. I narrowly avoided an accident.

Plate over the heater controls broke

How about using silicon to hold it together? It will be a neater job than using duct tape, but might work better than trying to super glue the piece flush.

    Detailing My Son's MX Bike

I ran out of the product and had to go get more. It's available at a transport truck repair shop and is a combination cleaner degreaser made for industrial use. The name on the bottle is Team Truck Center. The web address is teamtruck.com. I don't know if auto supply stores carry this product or...

    Bikers

We have a couple of groups in our area that ride for charitable causes. One is called The Blue Angels and it's a group of cops and friends. The other is a Harley owners group (HOGS). But I know what you mean. When you see a bunch of bikes heading your way, it does cause some nervousness, in case...

    Preventing Damage To My Grille

I talked to the guys at the parts place and they hooked me up with a video that shows how to install. It looks easy so I've ordered it. Lamboguy, it's not a horn, it fits in front of the grille and is made of stainless steel so if someone were to back up and hit the front of my truck, the grille...

    Preventing Damage To My Grille

I have $1000. deductible on my insurance policy so I worry about someone backing into the grille of my truck when I'm in the parking lot. I've been looking at those bull horn chrome protectors. They're expensive but I like the look of them and I know they would work. Has anyone installed one and...

    friends boat

We used to have a boat, but we gave it up when the cost of gas went sky high. With that, along with the rental of the slip, it just became too expensive. Now we stick to a canoe.

    Fellow Motorcycle Lovers!

Hey, a fellow motocross lover! My son is a pro racer in Canada. He rides a Yamaha and I love it because I do most of the mechanical work on it for him. Currently don't have a street bike. We go to the races with my son many weekends in spring and summer.

    Renting a Motorcycle

Not personally, but when we had friends visit, they wanted to ride. So we called our local Harley dealer and he was able to hook them up with a ride. They just had to provide proof that they had a bike license and proof of insurance.

    Not heating quickly

If your car has a thermostat, it could be sticking and so not heating up as quickly as it should. This is a fairly easy thing to check and even if you need to replace it, the cost is relatively minimal.
