My car is making a noise in the front - it sounds like the engine, but I'm not sure. It is behind the dashboard somewhere. When I push the gas, it sounds like something is vibrating.

Aren't these things illegal? If they're not, they ought to be, because they make it so it's really hard to see the license plate behind it.

My brother has a stick shift truck and I noticed he has to push a button to get the key out, and my automatic doesn't do that. Why does a stick shift do that?
