    They're making it so hard

Car manufacturers are making it harder and harder to service your own vehicles. My first truck was a '58 Chevy and that thing was so easy to work on! I knew where everything was under the hood and I did all repairs and upgrades myself. Now I need a special tool just to change the spark plugs on...

    Failed brakes

Well, my quad and I went for a heck of ride the other day when my brakes failed on a very steep mountain. It started rolling backward, hit a rut, and took air. I somehow managed to hang on to that baby for a full back flip! :Peace!: After that, I jumped off and it kept going. Believe it or not...

    Finally getting front end fixed

I put my truck in the shop yesterday to finally get the CV joints fixed. I've needed to do this for several months now and I am so happy to be getting it done. I off road quite a bit for work and all the popping from the broken boots was driving me crazy!

    Private sale or trade in?

When you are replacing a vehicle, do you sell it privately or trade it in at a dealer? I used to think you could get more money selling privately, but in this economy I just don't know which way to go.

    Just bought a quad!!

I've never owned a quad before so I'm really excited about this! My father-in-law got me a great deal from a friend of his and I picked it up the other day. I actually needed it for work, so I get to ride it almost everyday.

    Scuffed batteries

I just wanted to throw out a little tip to everyone who may not be aware of this. I needed to replace the battery in my '07 Trailblazer last week so I went to a place to buy a rebuilt battery. I ended up getting a brand new, never used $90 battery for $35. It had some scuff marks on it and they...

    An uphill battle

My '93 Pathfinder is running lousy on inclines and I really want to speed her up so I can stop irritating the people driving behind me. I'm going to change the spark plugs this weekend, but I'm not sure that will be enough to do the trick. Suggestions?

    Refurbished battery

I need to replace the battery in my Trailblazer and I found a place that sells refurbished ones for less than half the cost of a new one. Has anyone here had experience with refurbished batteries?

    Sea Foam

After letting my '93 Pathfinder sit on an almost empty tank for too long, I had trouble getting it to run right. It started, but ran like a dog. A friend suggested using the Sea Foam additive because I was thinking the gas tank might have gotten some junk in it. Sure enough, it fixed the problem...

    Hey, ya'll

I just wanted to say hi and introduce myself. I am the proud papa of a '93 Nissan Pathfinder, a '98 Mitsubishi Diamante, and an '07 Chevy Trailblazer. All of the "kids" routinely give me problems, so I'm sure you'll be hearing a lot from me! :heh:
