    For a 16 year old

Clunker for teens I believe teens should learn to drive on the most heavy duty, safest and easiest car to drive possible. If it's already got scratches and dents, that's even better. Let them save the good cards for after they've learned to appreciate what they have enough to keep it that way.

    Forgetting your kids

Checking the back seat I don't even have children most of the time unless I am driving my nieces and nephews somewhere. Ever since this day, I always check the back seat. I could never live with myself if I locked up an animal or child in there for whatever reason. Checking is a small price to pay.

    Tires

We go to a place that specializes in tire service. If they do it all day long, and all their employees are trained it doing tires, they should be good at tire service.

Time for the Clunker to Go

That's when I usually just tell my husband we're buying a new car, and we start looking. When one dumps me beside the highway and I have to call Triple A, it's time. Yes, we do know how you feel. I'm almost there myself.

    Unrepaired repair job

Repair job I was fuming when I posted that. I have to pick up children from school every day this week and keep them until their parents get off work. There is no way I can do without my car even one day this week. It was hard enough to do so when I was getting the problem fixed the first time.

    Forgetting your kids

Forgetting children We had a case here a few years ago where a woman rushed to work one morning, got out of her car and worked all day on what was one of the hottest days of the summer. When she went to her car that afternoon, there was her small infant in his car seat in the back where she had...

    Unrepaired repair job

I took my car in last week to fix a roar underneath my car. They put on new tires, fixed a couple of things and returned it to me with a bill for right at a thousand bucks. This morning, the roar's back, louder than ever, but the money has not returned to my banking account. Why can't folks fix...

    Harleys Are So Loud

Loud motorcycles I stopped at a stop light yesterday where three of these motorcycles were waiting for the light. Before I could even think about moving when the light changed, they were off and halfway up the block. They were so loud the others in the car commented on it, so I know what you mean.

    Being Pulled By Another Car

Never again My ex husband made me do this many years ago. I told him I couldn't do it then, but he insisted on it. To this day it's one of the scariest things I've done in my life. It was second to being married to him, however.

    Prices of old vans

contongr little I used to have an antiques and collectibles business, so I needed the mini. I don't really need it as much these days. I've put off calling the dealer because it's like buzzards around a dead dog on the highway. Before I know it, every car salesman in the place is calling me...

    Gas Prices!!!

Oil inventories With oil inventories being down and prices being controlled by middle Eastern countries, we're going to continue to experience gas prices far beyond what we have been used to. I'm doing less driving than I used to do, and the home in the country is out of my plans.

    Prices of old vans

I heard somewhere that car dealers were paying premium prices on older minivans such as the Town and Country and the Dodge Grand Caravans. Is there any truth to this? I have a T & C I would love to trade in on something newer.

    More Recalls

Auto recalls I think most of these recalls are to avoid future lawsuits. Even though I'd rather have a worry-free vehicle, threats have always been with us with any innovations. Most vehicles are pretty safe if we handle them properly.

    Jiffy Lube

I do like being able to dash in, sit down and read a few magazines, and leave in as fast a time as possible. Hence, I go to Jiffy Lube and a few other places like that. I do appreciate a clean waiting area with a soft drink machine available.

    Tiny two seater

Small car We traveled all cooped up in the back of a cramped car when we were dating, and it was quite nice to cuddle up back there. I didn't mind at all. It's funny how things have changed after some years of marriage. I couldn't stand being cooped up that close for hours on end. We both need...

    Tire shine

Shiny tires I love it when I get my car and tires washed, and they use this stuff to make my tires shine. They literally gleam for a little while. It does feel good to drive and get out of a spiffy automobile that is actually clean.

    Car windows

I finally took my car in to have the window fixed. The window wouldn't roll down. They had to order a regulator, and it ended up costing just under $300. I rolled down the window yesterday, and it would only roll 3/4 of the way up. Why don't they check these things and install them better?

    Dirty gas pump handle

Germs and school My nephew just spent the last hour and a half on my computer. He was doing his school projects. I knew he had been in school all day, so I immediately cleaned up behind him after he went home. I know all about those school germs.

    Mobile Internet

Traders use data sticks There are a number of people I know who use the mobile computer Internet devices. Most of them are stock traders who need to check their charts several times a day. They aren't on the computer all the time, but they do go in and check. Their profits pay for their equipment.

Falling lawnmowers You are so right about this. We had our furniture store truck totaled when the riding lawnmower one of those jack-leg yardmen was hauling rolled off the trailer in front of it. The driver sped up and got away while our driver was trying to keep the truck on the road. We're...
