Higher taxes because of electric cars

Ya'll just be sure to vote right in November. Otherwise, more than electricity will be going up. I just got an email about homeowners insurance going up as well. Yipee!!!! Just what I needed.

Which is the best automotive accessories company?

I had suburban a while back that had a ChooChoo Customs package installed. This included raised roof, TV, VCR, woodgrain finish on the inside, captains chairs, and running lights on the inside roof. It was something else.

    Electric Stand Up Scooters

Man, I would love to have a Segway. If gas prices continue to rise, we may see these on the highways. At least on the sides of the highways. Just Kidding. That would truely be "unsafe."

    Little old lady drivers!

Old people are great. Just not on the highways. Their reaction time and awareness is not what it used to be. However, if you took their license, their independence would be gone and one day, you and I will be in the same spot.

    Stranger in my yard

Do be careful. Why would anyone be out at that hour walking across your yard? Like smash said, it could be innocent but you never know these days.

    Too fast for road

Kids will always think they are invincible. When they have a fender bender or two, I think they begin to realize that things can happen to them as well. I'm glad no one was injured Hotrod. The kid was very lucky!

    All season, snow or studded

I guess it depends on where you are. Our winters have been so mild the past few years that regular tires are all that's needed. Studs are legal here and I have used them a time or two when the going got tough.

    Bugs in Air Vents

Could you use a long pair of tweezers? Then if he's too big to come through the vent, you could always crush him up and vacuum him out. Sounds gross I know, but it might work.

    Speakers In The Doors

Me too. When I decide to try to fix something that will save me money, I usually end up going to the professional anyway. Let somebody replace the speakers that knows what they are doing. You will be better off in the long run.

    VW Comeback

Do any of you out there have one of the new VW Bugs? I'm just wondering if they are like the old ones and do they still have the flower vase in the console?

    Could it be the brakes?

A friend of mine went through the same thing and did indeed find out it was her brakes. She finally took it to a mechanic instead of a tire place. You would have thought the tire place should have known. Wouldn't you?

    Overheating

Like the rest of you say, be sure all fluid levels are good and I always carry an extra gallon of water and antifreeze in my trunk just to be on the safe side. Joining a roadside assistance service is always good too.

    Ready for Winter

Is your car ready for winter? I'm getting mine ready by checking all the fluids, especially the antifreeze, tires, and heater. How do you get yours ready for the winter season?

    Locked gas cap

You can buy locking gas caps on Amazon for as little as $10.00. The key is in the middle of the cap. However, they don't appear to be that hard to get off without the key. You may want to consider one that attaches to the car itself. That will be more expensive.

    Funny story

Ah, the stories I could tell about learning to drive. Learning to back was my biggest challenge. Backed all over my mother's flower bed one time. My dad hollered at me, "don't you have any brakes on that car?" It's funny now but not then.

    18 Wheeler phobia

I have a friend that was pushed off the road last year by an 18 wheeler. A lone tree kept her from rolling down an embankment. Now she refuses to drive on the interstate because of this. How can she get over this phobia?

    How loud is too loud?

It's a good idea not to have it too loud so you can hear the sirens and traffice. However, we are all young once and I have been know to crank up the volume and just boogey with the beat.

    Driving in flip flops

I generally kick mine off and drive barefoot. I really think that's safer than keeping them on. I know some friends that have actually wrecked because of those things.

    Best Glue

There is a piece of molding coming loose from my back glass. I've tried several different things to put it back on but none have worked. Do you have any suggestions for a good glue to put this back in place?

    What can you do yourself?

I do as much as I can toward the maintenance of my vehicle. An oil change may be advertised as just $29.00 at some places but that's $29.00 I could spend on something else. It's always good to do it yourself if you can.
