Car Wash Fundraisers

Do you ever get your car washed as part of a fundraiser? I wouldn't mind but generally when I see them I'm out with my husband. He is too particular to trust high school students to properly wash the car.

We do this only if we know the group doing the washing. You can't hurt my car, and it's for a good cause. The only trouble is that we could get several paid car washes for what we generally donate to the "free" car wash.

I don't usually go to these types of washes because most of the time they are goofing off instead of washing the cars at least around where I live. I have gone to the car wash run by the Blue Star Mothers because the proceeds go to the troops.

For the most part it really depends on what they are fundraising for. If they are fundraising to sponsor a trip to DC for local school kids or to send things to the troops overseas that's one thing but if it is to buy the local cheerleaders new uniforms or something like that then I don't.
