Hairline windshield crack

I have a hairline crack on my windshield that runs from top to bottom. How long can I expect to drive until the thing just breaks down and the window shatters because of it?

Do you really want to find out? I don't think there's any way of really knowing. Some windshields are thicker than others and driving conditions vary. If I were you I'd get it replaced as soon as you have the money.

Depends on the weather and driving conditions. It may last a while and it may not. Your insurance should cover replacement. Why don't you call and find out. Don't take the chance.

Like Devan said, most insurances will cover windshield replacement of for it to be fixed. Something like that you want to get fixed right away.
