Honda Suspends Japan Auto

I never started to hear about this until late last night and early this morning but it seems this should have been a smart choice to make as soon as all the craze started to happen. Why does it seems like they are getting to it so late?

Are they local to the devastation? If they're some distance away, that could explain the delay in the suspension of production. They may have been hoping to continue business as usual, only to find it impossible.

Yeah. I read that Toyota was going to try to keep their operation going as long as it made sense to. They are somewhere north of Tokyo I think. I have not heard if they shut down or not.

A lot of operations are having to shut down, and it could cause a number of supply issues over the next few months. Many companies use parts made in Japan, and they won't be able to get them.
