Most Important Questions to Ask a Used Car Dealership

I'm in the market for a new car, actually, I'm shopping for a used car. I'm looking for a list of questions to ask a dealer because I don't want to be a deer in the headlights when I get on the lot. From everyone's experience, what would you say are the most crucial questions to ask before signing anything?

Always add the words "SUBJECT TO MECHANICAL INSPECTION, SUBJECT TO FINANCING" to any deal you sign.

It will get you out of it if need be.

I would ask for a carfax or obtain one for a car you want to look at before going to the dealership. That way you will know if the car has been in any kind of accident and how the past owners have taken care of the car. If the car has been in an accident that has messed up the frame of the car, then I would not buy it.
