Seat Belt Warranties

If you have a car that has a life time Warranty on seat belts but they do not make the car anymore, can you still get the seat belt replaced for free?

That is a good question. The easy answer is yes it will still be covered. However, say the manufacture goes out of business, then you would be out of luck.

I would guess you do not have anything to worry about unless you have a really old car. What if the company is still around but the part is not made anymore? Will they still pay for a comparable part that will work?

I think they would. I had an old Honda and the dealership replaced my seat belts for free. I imagine all of the big dogs would have a part that would work. If it was a really old car or one of the small companies there could be an issue.
