I remember hearing some people talking about something you put in your gas tank and it causes a lot of smoke to come out of your exhaust for a short time, but as it moves through the car's system it cleans as it goes. Has anyone heard of this and knows what it's called?

I know what you are talking about. I had some of this put in by the guys who did an oil change. I do believe that the smoke and stuff can cause the car to stall for the first 20 miles or so.
