Carport dead

We have had some nasty storms lately, and the carport had tie backs for the single side that is covered with a kind of tarp like fabric. The storm completely ripped the siding off and now its a pretty sad looking port. Anyone know of a thicker fabric that might work?

I am not sure what you mean when you say tarp like plastic? I think you could go for a thick canvas that is treated. Or the same tarp like material covering a thick canvas.

Um, the only thing I know of as regards your question is from long ago, and isn't exactly cheap...

It was the one constant for tarps when I was a kid, they lasted forever it seemed... heavy, too.

How not cheap is this?

They kind of look like this but it was hard to even find this image since I forget where we got the thing from and I am not sure what fabric is actually used. I guess we need something a little better.
