Exactly what does teh motorvac machine do? I went to the sight and didn't see what it did.

Not off hand, sorry. Best advice i could give is go and buy a book, chilton's, on your vehicle. Or try the library, sometimes they surprise you with what they got on your truck, just make copies, they don't like oil stains on their pages.

Cutting and splicing will still work, but you just need to figure out what's what. I usually just use a tester light, figure out what the constant hot is, connect that to your cd player, find the wire that is hot when the key is on, connect that to the cd player. I usually wire my own ground...

Recheck the fuses, and if they look correded replace them. I know on some cars/trucks they have a turn signal relay, which looks like a box and can most of the time be easy to replace, and cost less than $10.

The number one cyl would be on the right side if you were facing the motor, or left side sitting in the drivers seat. The firing order depends on if it's an eight cyl, six, or inline six. Most of the time there is a mark on the gears. You can however, be 180 degrees off.
