Good mornin all
I have a 1982 gmc s15 pu with timing out
what I need 2 find out is ?

1 the #1 cyl is it looking from fan side left or right side ? passenger ? or driver ?

2 what is the firing order ?

3 the timing chain an gear are thair any dots ? or marks ? to adjust them on #1 top dead center ? or is it cam dowl pin 2 crank kee ?

The number one cyl would be on the right side if you were facing the motor, or left side sitting in the drivers seat.

The firing order depends on if it's an eight cyl, six, or inline six.

Most of the time there is a mark on the gears. You can however, be 180 degrees off.
