I understand why car seats for infants have to go in the back seat, but it sure would be nice if they invented one that go in the front seat. When it's just you and the baby in the car, it would be nice to have the baby close to you.
Its not a matter of the car seat not being able to go in the front-it can. It's simply not safe, because of the car design. In a head on collision (which is the more common) the kid is safest in the back. It would take a complete car redesign for this to be different.
