Hidden Mud Traps

Does your car have any mud traps that can hold mud or leaves, and hence increase the risk of rusting? If so do you clean them out regularly?

My husband makes sure the car gets hosed at least every few months from the bottom up. I am pretty sure that every crevice of that car is cleaned to perfection.

I would have to say my cars biggest "mud trap" would have to be inside the rear fenders. These seem to collect the most mud, and I make sure they're cleaned out everytime I wash the car. I'm proud to say my 1994 Honda Accord has absolutely no rust, anywhere on the car.

I never thought about it, but since they don't salt the roads where I live, it probably is less likely to get rusted just from mud anyway. I guess it gets cleaned when I go through the car wash.
