Long Trips

What is your favorite thing to do on long trips? My girls love to draw and read. I also enjoy reading and since I do most of the driving I have audiobooks. We also enjoy taking pictures especially of houses since houses styles change from one city to another as well as from one state to another.

We bring along plenty of music and sing along. When I am riding with my kids, I let them choose ahead of time what we are going to listen to, because I don't want any fighting. I pretty much like everything they do - unfortunately, it doesn't work the other way around, so I save my favorites for when I ride alone and can enjoy it!

We listen to audio-books mostly. We buy several before we leave for Florida at Christmas every year and we listen to them. We like to get the latest books, but I also found a group of Agatha Cristie radio shows from back in the 50s, and they are great fun. Actors play each part in character, and there is a moderator, helps along the story. Great fun!
